There are other places in DD where retreating will auto-kill 1 hero, not just here. The simplest solution is to win the fight in the first place. Retreating with a hero in the pot is an automatic hero kill. yes they need to make a turn table at the top near the torch.Originally posted by Gilmoy:Yes, that's one of the Hags' (plural) special rules. Because in retrospect what I think happened is the first 2 cleaves put all of my faster (but weaker heroes) on death's door, and as a result none of my heroes were fast enough to do anything the next turn before being wiped. So I really hope they implement something to make that a bit easier to understand in the future. Sometimes seemingly at random, though I'm sure there was some reason tucked away somewhere. I know it's based on speed but it's tedious to figure it out on your own because speed values seem to change every single turn. The only major gripe I have with the game at the moment is it does nothing to inform you of the turn order. Back then he was my only level 3 in that run and the party was nearly wiped so that RNG saved the day. I don't really have a problem with the fact that pure RNG caused me to lose all 4 of my favourite heroes in the same way that it felt awesome the first time I killed a hag with my manly crusader who landed an uber crit that almost one-shot her. The dice roll part of the game is a lot of what makes it fun. You can not learn how to not get hit by random crits. This has nothing to do with difficulty, but luck.
